Curriculum vitae
Pietro Ostellari is currently a PhD student of the national PhD program in Scientific, Technological and Social Methods Enabling Circular Economy in the workgroup of Prof. Silvia Gross. His research project concerns the recovery and recycling of copper from waste, in collaboration with Manica S.p.A., and he is particularly focused in new and more sustainable approaches for the selective separation of metals, in a circular economy framework.Born in Padova (Italy) in 1997, Pietro studied Chemistry at the University of Padova, where he obtained both his Bachelor degree (2019; mark: 104/110) and Master degree (2021; mark: 110/110) under the supervision of Prof. Silvia Gross. His master thesis project concerned the microfluidic synthesis of luminescent nano- and microstructures of calcium molybdate, under room and low temperature conditions. Form October 2021 to September 2022 he worked as graduate fellow in the workgroup of Prof. Silvia Gross in a project aimed to study the interaction between surfactants and polymers for laundry applications, in collaboration with Reckitt Benckiser Italia S.p.A.
