Youngsik Kim

Youngsik Kim is an associate professor of School of Energy and Chemical Engineering at Ulsan National Institute of Science & Technology (UNIST), Korea. He received his Ph.D. (2006, advisor: Prof. Steve W. Martin) in Materials Science and Engineering from Iowa State University. After that, he joined Prof. John B. Goodenough’s group at The University of Texas at Austin as a post-doctoral fellow. His current research is focused on ceramic and composite electrolytes for rechargeable batteries and low cost and sustainable electrochemical energy storage systems for large-scale ESS applications. He is also working as CEO of energy solution company, 4TOONE Corporation.
