Joachim Maier
MPI for Solid State Research, Stuttgart, Germany
Joachim Maier studied chemistry at the University of Saarbrücken, received his doctorate there and completed his habilitation at the University of Tübingen. He is a director of the MPI for Solid State Research and Honorary Professor at the University of Stuttgart. His main interest is the conceptual understanding of solid state ionics (“nanoionics”). He served as President of ISSI from 2013-2015.
