Pierpaolo Pravatto

Postdoctoral researcher (until June 2022)

Pierpaolo Pravatto was born in Vittorio Veneto (TV, Italy) in 1994. He obtained both his Bachelor of Science (2016; final grade: 110/110 cum laude), Master’s Degree (2018; final grade: 110/110 cum laude) and Ph.D from Università degli Studi di Padova working under the supervision of Prof. Giorgio Moro. After his Ph.D. period, Pierpaolo covered the position of postdoctoral researcher on the project “Quantum implementation of stochastic molecular models”. His research interests cover the modeling of tunneling splittings in molecular systems, the study of nuclear quantum effects, and the application of quantum computers and quantum annealers to the solution of relevant physical and chemical problems. Pierpaolo was the creator of this site and one of the original promoters of the theoretical volantino initiative.
