You will not be allowed to join the tour if you do not hold a valid ticket. The events scheduled above will only take place if the minimum number of participants (30) is reached. Guided visit to the famous Giotto frescoes in the Scrovegni Chapel in Padua. The visit will last half an hour, of which 15 minutes will be spent in an air-conditioned waiting room and 15 minutes visiting the frescoes.
This visit has to be booked as soon as possible due to the large number of people visiting the Chapel. Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

Monday 19 June
VILLA DEI VESCOVI AND EUGANEAN HILLS WINE TASTING
Departure by G.T. coach from the conference site (Padova Fiere) at 14.30, arrival in Luvigliano (in approximately 30 minutes) and guided visit of the Villa dei Vescovi, the most important Pre-Palladian country house of the Renaissance, built between 1535 and 1542, commissioned by the then Bishop of Padua, Francesco Pisani, as a summer holiday home. The project was entrusted to the Veronese painter and architect Giovanni Maria Falconetto, while the erudite Venetian Alvise Cornaro, responsible for curial administration at the time, was the superintendent of works. Departure by bus at 16.00 for Villa Sceriman (Vo' Euganeo) for a wine tasting with 3 different typical wines from the Euganean hills, some cheese, bread, and local hams. End of the tour and departure for Padova at 18.00.

THE OLD PATAVIUM AND THE "APERITIVO DEL BARCARO"
Departure from the conference site (Padova Fiere) at 14.30 for a guided tour through the historical center and its 3 main squares Piazza della Frutta, Piazza delle Erbe, Piazza dei Signori, admiring from the outside the most important monuments: Palazzo Moroni, the city hall, Palazzo della Ragione, the former Justice building, Palazzo del Bo, the second university in Italy after that of Bologna, Caffè Pedrocchi, the cultural and commercial center and meeting place for students, artists, writers and patriots and the Cathedral, with the visit of the adjoining Baptistery and Giusto de Menabuoi frescoes.
17.00 Boarding on a typical Venetian "peota" (a wooden boat that is able to navigate on the water surface) for a guided cruise along Padova canals where you will admire the monuments and the buildings that marked the history of the city between the 15th and the 20th centuries but in a very original and evocative way. This excursion is an extraordinary possibility to admire the city wall, the ramparts, the palaces, the churches and the monuments that reveal all their beauty from the waters of the Piovego Canal, excavated by the inhabitants of the city during the early 13th century.
On the way back live music and a special "Aperitivo del Barcaro" with some typical food and wines. 19.30 Arrival at Porte Contarine and end of the tour.
