The 21st International Conference on Solid State Ionics (SSI-21) is a world-class meeting devoted to all aspects of the science, technology and applications of ion-conducting materials. SSI-21 will gather leading international scientists and engineers, providing an unparalleled opportunity to exchange ideas between people with different backgrounds and foster the development and professional growth of both young and experienced researchers alike. The topics of SSI-21 will cover fundamental and applied aspects of ion-conducting materials, both conventional and innovative. Fundamental studies, both experimental and theoretical, will find their justification in cutting-edge applications such as devices for the conversion and the storage of energy (e.g., batteries, fuel cells, redox flow batteries, electrolyzers, supercapacitors); microelectronics; communication systems and robotics. SSI-21 will also cover the field of ionics in biologic systems and life sciences. The expected number of attendees to SSI-21 is higher than ca. 1200.
