Dear Participant, below you’ll find all the essential details for registering. Should you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at specschool.chimica@unipd.it.

How to Register

The weekly program includes opportunities for attendees who wish to participate in Poster Sessions and Flash Presentations. The Flash presentations are limited to a maximum of 20 slots. In the event of an overflow of requests, the Scientific Committee will carefully curate and select the 20 most valuable presentations.

In order to register for the SPEC School 2024, you need to fill the SPEC 2024 – Registration Form. It needs a google account. Once submitted, you will receive your registration ID number by the Organising Committee within few days. Please, always refer to your registration ID number in further communication. For any doubts, write to specschool.chimica@unipd.it. Your personal data are going to be used exclusively by the Organisers in due of the purposes of the event and won’t be shared to any third party.

Please remember that the registration form will ask you:

  • Mandatory:
    – Include the bank transfer receipt (details provided below).
  • Optional:
    – Attach the abstract for a Poster or a Flash presentation in Office Word format (templates provided below).

Fees

What is covered by your Fee?

  • A comprehensive week of lectures on hybrid spectroscopic and electrochemical techniques presented by leading scientists in the field.
  • Welcome session on Sunday afternoon (by 17:00) including an opening lecture.
  • Accommodation in shared rooms (3 to 4 people) for 5 nights (Sunday, 15th to Friday, 20th).
  • Meals: Breakfast (Monday to Friday), Lunches (Monday to Thursday), Dinners (Sunday to Thursday), Coffee breaks (Sunday to Friday).
  • Social dinner on Thursday, the 19th.
  • Access to a private beach.
  • Event-related gadgets.

Extras

Extras must be directly asked to specschool.chimica@unipd.it once the SPEC 2024 – Registration Form is submitted. Please, refer to your registration ID number in any communication. All Extras are subjected to availability limitations.

  • Single room: + 20% on the fee
  • Empty bed (example, room for 3 asked only for 2 people): + 30% on the fee
  • Extra meal: 15€
  • Daily attendance: 100€ (it includes the lectures of the day and the meals, but not the accommodation)
  • Extra towels set: 5€
  • Extra room cleaning: 15€
  • Accompanying person: 500€ (it includes the accommodation and the meals from Sun to Fri, but not the lectures nor the coffee breaks)

Important notes for the attendants:

  • Attendees will be assigned rooms by the Organizing Committee. Groups arriving together may request a dedicated room by contacting specschool.chimica@unipd.it.
  • Each room is issued only ONE key. The Organizing Committee will facilitate communication among roommates for check-in and key management.
  • All rooms come with private bathrooms.
  • Attendees will receive a participation bracelet, which is required to be worn throughout the event.
  • Towels are provided once per person for the entire duration.
  • Room cleaning is conducted before check-in and after check-out (not daily).
  • Meals are served self-service style and include a starter (primo piatto), a main course with a warm or cold side dish, yogurt, and fruit or dessert. Multiple options are available for each course. Free water is available at the dispenser, while other beverages are to be paid separately.
  • Special menus for individuals with specific dietary needs will be provided upon presentation of proper certification. For inquiries, please contact specschool.chimica@unipd.it.
  • The beach is accessible to all attendees.
  • Please note that the swimming pool is currently closed.
  • A laundry room is available at building 8 (requires coins).
  • All buildings are fully accessible for people with disabilities.
