Marco Bortoli was born in Marostica (VI), Italy in 1990 and he was a Postdoc in the Theoretical Chmistry group at Università degli Studi di Padova. He obtained both his B.Sc. (2012; final grade: 104/110) and M.Sc. (2015; final grade: 110/110 cum laude) in Chemistry from Università degli Studi di Padova. He started the Ph.D. in 2015 under the supervision of prof. Laura Orian (University of Padova) and prof. F. Matthias Bickelhaupt (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam). He obtained his PhD (joint degree, University of Padova & Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) in 2019. His research topics concern the application of DFT methods to study the chemical reactivity of systems of biological importance, mainly in the antioxidant category.
