Erwan Privat was born in Paris (France) in 1991. He graduated in Image and Artificial Intelligence in 2013 and worked as a software engineer for a few years. He then obtained his PhD in physics at the University of Burgundy (Dijon, France) in 2021, where he worked mainly on quantum reactive scattering and stereodynamics. After a postdoc in Nijmegen (the Netherlands) where he worked on inelastic scattering in electric fields, he joined the team at the Università degli Studi di Padova in late 2024. His research activities revolve intensively around software development and machine learning techniques applied to various quantum systems.
